Havens

Havens is just the place for you if you are visiting Maui and searching for great food without much fuss. With online ordering, two restaurants, and a food truck, there’s no excuse for you to miss this local gem!

Chef Zach Sato has led kitchens in almost all of Chef Merriman’s restaurants for over a decade. Utilizing his many years of experience, connections with local farms, and his love of comfort food, Chef Sato has opened his own smash burger and noodle spot. The first restaurant became so popular that he now helms two restaurants and a food truck!

You will find that they use the freshest locally caught fish for the fish burger. It’s not just the fish; they make everything fresh here, which you’ll notice from the first bite to the last. Chef Zach is passionate about using local ingredients and supporting the sources on our island.

This isn’t your ordinary burger joint! You can get amazing made-to-order smash burgers, but many customers come in just for the noodles and sushi dishes. Just a few of the delicious dishes you’ll find here are the Chili Watah Oyster Shooters, Adobo Ribs, and Wagyu Chow Fun.

For the uninformed, smash burgers are made by smashing ground beef on a grill. This sears in the juices and creates tastier, softer patties laced with crisp edges.

Insider Tip: If you plan a trip to Havens, make sure to get there early. This place is so popular that they may sell out of your favorite dish before the end of the day!

The Pint & Cork

Our newest favorite place to enjoy a juicy and delectable burger on Maui is The Pint & Cork, hands down. Located in the Shops at Wailea, here’s your next go-to locale in West Maui for the burger lovers.

The Pint & Cork is one of Maui’s newest additions to the brewhouse, gastronomy and Maui sports bar scenes. The restaurant/bar is family-friendly, a great place to meet up with friends and an even better spot for socializing and making new friends in the dating scene.

The burger at Pint & Cork is terrific! Named the BIB Burger, carnivores can enjoy a savory house ground beef patty with white cheddar, crispy bacon, charred onion, fried egg, pickle, arugula greens, whiskey 1000 and an ‘oh, so satisfying’ brioche bun. This is the only burger on their menu, and it’s absolutely the only one that they need. Upgrade it with an order of their Parmesan Fries, and you’ll be in 7th Heaven.

If you’re visiting this Maui restaurant with kids, not to worry, they also have Keiki Sliders on the kid’s menu; two mini cheeseburgers served with French fries. Make it a family burger affair.

When you order a burger at Pint & Cork, compliment it with a selection of their famous side dishes like their Mac & Cheese and Fried Chicken Wings. You can’t go wrong. Here, you’ll find quite the beer selection, so you’ll also want to add a few of Maui’s microbrews to your order.

Besides the burger, Pint & Cork has a diverse menu full of popular and tasty bites. We also love their Kalua Pork Sliders, Strawberry- Beet Salad, Ahi Sandwich, Shrimp and Grits, 16 oz Rib Eye and their Pork Adobo Moco. Yum!

The Pint & Cork is open from 11am-2am 7 days a week. Their kitchen closes at midnight, but you can still enjoy cold brews, mixology-style cocktails and good times until their doors close.

This iconic Kihei eatery has carved out a niche for itself with a tasty and fresh menu that features some of the best burgers on Maui. At Nalu’s, burger lovers are treated to a triad of gourmet burger options: the Straight Up Burger, Korean Bulgogi Burger, and the Apple Brie Burger.

The Straight Up Burger is a classic redefined. It features a grass-fed, certified Angus beef patty on a toasted brioche bun, brushed with Dijon mustard aioli. Diners can take their burger up a notch with add-ons like cheese, avocado, or applewood-smoked bacon. For those with a penchant for unique flavors, the Korean Bulgogi Burger is a masterpiece! It combines the same high-quality beef with a sweet-spicy Korean BBQ marinade, gochujang aioli, Asian pear kim chee, and melted Swiss cheese.

Not to be outshined, the Apple Brie Burger is a mouthwatering choice. It combines the savory taste of Angus beef with the sweetness of caramelized Maui onions, the tartness of Granny Smith apples, the creaminess of melted French brie, and the crunch of applewood-smoked bacon. Encased all of that in a toasted brioche bun, and this burger is to die for!
